SYNTHESIS OF TRADITIONAL AND NON-TRADITIONAL FORMS OF CONTROL AS A FACTOR OF INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF THE PROCESS OF TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES
Abstracts

Introduction. In the context of ensuring the future foreign language teachers’ training’s quality, one of the urgent problems is the choice of adequate control forms of the level of lexical and grammatical skills’ formation. In this article, authors analyze the features of the use of non-traditional control forms, and also substantiate the need for the synthesis of traditional and non-traditional forms of control, both to improve the quality of teaching pedagogical education bachelors and to form a stable positive motivation for learning a foreign language.

Materials and methods. The article presents the following research methods: review of Russian and foreign scientists’ works; the advantages of traditional and non-traditional forms of control are considered, and the justification for the need for organic inclusion of non-traditional control forms into the traditional system of checking the lexical and grammatical skills formation’s level among students is given.

Results. The experience of work at the Foreign Languages Faculty of the South Ural State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University confirmed the assumption that the integration of non-traditional forms of control into the traditional system for assessing the level of lexical and grammatical skills’ formation not only increases the efficiency of an objective assessment, but also contributes to an increase in the efficiency of the educational process as a whole. ...

Discussion. The substantiation of the need for the synthesis of traditional and non-traditional forms of control is given, both for increasing the objectivity of assessing the lexical and grammatical skills’ formation and for a more efficient organization of the learning process as a whole.

Conclusion. The study of the use of traditional and non-traditional forms of control in the process of teaching foreign language has confirmed their efficiency, both in the process of control and in the process of teaching a foreign language.
